myfuture activity

Go to the myfuture website and click on the link – ‘myguide’ at the top of the page. Sign up for an account (this is very quick and simple) and click on the ‘identifying’ button. Once in here complete the activities for ‘interests’ and ’skills’. These will be saved and will give you a personal profile. This is a very worthwhile activity if completed properly!!!

If you finish continue through the other profiling activities. You will need to print this out for me so use your class time wisely!!

In all work places there are some skills and attributes that are beneficial for all workers to possess that will assist them in being effective in their workplace. In the attached document there are a range of important skills for the workplace.

You need to go through each skill (heading) and complete a personal reflection on each about how well you would perform in each area in the workplace and provide reasons why to justify your response. Be honest in your reflection.

As part of the unit “prepare for work” it is essential knowledge to know time management strategies that can be used in the workplace. Your job is to write a post for your blog on time management strategies that can be useful in the workplace. Try and make your strategies specific to the sport and recreation industry. Finalising preliminary course

A few things that need to be tied up over the next few lessons.

1. Preliminary exams- if you scored less than 75% in a section of the exam you need to re-complete the questions you went poorly in to bring it up to standard. This needs to be done a.s.a.p.

2. Basketball videos – these need to be completed over the next 2 weeks. A reminder that the focus for the video is instructional and you are trying to help people learn your skills.

3. Sport Coaching reports – anyone who completed the school sport coaching last term needs to submit their final report by the end of the week. Ask those who have completed it already for help if required.

4. Coach Carter – You need to complete a post on your blog about coach carter about the following question.

“What potential problems could you see with Coach carter’s coaching style”.
